A day of celebration or sorrow? A-Level Results Day.

Today is so often a day of nervous anticipation, perhaps elation or perhaps disappointment, and likely some frantic future planning.

To all those of you who are receiving your A-level results today, know that we are thinking of you and want to give you a massive congratulations on your results, no matter what grades you receive, and for finishing college!

I'd like to introduce you to one of our students, Jerome, who had a God led and God inspired moment when it came to his results day last year. It's well worth a read...

Jerome's Story...

"In secondary school all I heard was, “if you don’t get maths you won’t go to university”. At GCSE level I never passed it. During my A-levels I had to retake maths and I heard the same thing. I tried my best and in August I went into school surrounded by GCSE students getting their results, I opened the envelope… Maths – D. That’s when God said to me, who are you going to define yourself as? Someone who can’t go to university because you missed a few marks. Or a child of God with endless capabilities. It was an easy choice. My first choice Portsmouth gave me an unconditional offer despite not hitting the targets. I recognised that it’s not grades that get you into places but what you carry."

Our Hope, Your Hope and God's Hope...

Whatever you receive in the post, we hope that today is better than you had hoped, and we pray that your hope is bigger than the post you receive today. Remember that God is preparing your path, and results day is one of those preparations.

He is good through valleys and good through mountains and whatever situation you find yourself in today, guess what!? He is still good. Give it all to Him. His timing is not always our timing and that's okay.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
