Dear Gareth,

                

Love and greetings in Jesus Precious name..

 

I hope this letter finds you well. Thank you so much for your prayer, love, concern and support for the ministry we are doing here in India.

 

Politically and spiritually this nation is going through a trying time. Our nation has encountered many political break downs, Hindu fanatics and communist party’s who are aggressively obtaining power in the country. In the different states, there are strong anti conversion party’s which are in power.  Therefore we are not able to proceed with public ministry which includes crusades, open air meetings and village campaigns.  Hindus are training millions of militants to convert current Christians, converted from the Hindu faith. The militants are trained to stop Christianity by force or persecution.

 

But, in the midst, God is performing tremendous miracles and it is clear to us that people are hungry for the truth of the Gospel. We do have to pay a price for reaching the unreached.  As you are aware, no foreign missionaries and preachers are legally allowed to come to India and serve. 

All the responsibilities are bestowed upon our own shoulders.

We train nationals (Indian citizens), in different languages from the different states of India to reach the unreached.  Millions of villages and tribes have not heard the Name of Jesus.

 

We have to been able to build training centres across the different states of India, which equip the nationals to preach the gospel in their surrounding states. Last week 13 young men graduated in West Bengal.  Every man made a decision to surrender to serve full time in the ministry.  Because of this training each man is now equipped to lead a team into the unreached villages. Each team requires a bicycle, megaphone, lantern and literature in their language. They also require monthly support to buy food and clothing. This support equates to a minimum of $50 US, monthly.  These men travel from village to village, preach the Gospel, heal the sick and establish churches. 

 

We have 7 mobile teams in 7 different states across India. They preach the Gospel to thousands of people during the week.  On the weekends a “follow up” team encourages new converts, conducts Bible studies, healing services and a Sunday morning service. Every Mobile and Follow up team costs $1000 US a month.

 

Our ministry has also extended to the cities of the nation through our children.

 

In Mumbai, we have a NGO, called Vision Rescue, Vision Rescue feeds over 1000 children in 17 different areas a day in the slums of Mumbai. They teach non formal education to the children on 3 school buses and encourage those who do not attend public school to attend class every day. Vision Rescue also meets the medical and soon the dental needs of the slum dwellers within Mumbai. The Medical Van sees close to 80 patients in a day across 6 different locations. Medical needs such as minor wounds due to street fighting become infected and are breeding grounds for maggots. Mothers and their children are seen with many deformities due to malnutrition and inadequate intake of clean water and unhygienic living conditions. The Dental Van is close to completion. A dentist and his family, wife and 2 kids, have left a very comfortable life and a growing Dental practice in Kerala to serve in the ministry in Mumbai. Vision rescue is in great need of your support if they are to reach all 18 million street children in India.


IN GOA our ministry has extended with 2 Bethesda homes for orphaned girls and boys and a school which provides an education for them daily. They are well cared for in a loving and supportive family environment.  The ministry in Goa is helping the HIV affected men and women who are not able to work and provide an income for families. We provide food, medicinal and medical attention on a monthly basis to those affected.

 

Calcutta has a population of 21 million; it comes to no surprise that there are millions of unreached people in this metropolis city. The ministry within Calcutta reaches people within their homes, with small teams of people who walk around the streets and slums to minister and offer support in the different areas of need.

 

We have started a 15 day Bible training program called Shekinah.  The training includes counselling, teaching Biblical principals, praying and interceding.  Our mission is to encourage each individual to receive a deep vision for evangelism. The program is to open to anyone and especially those who are trained in a skill, such as doctor or a teacher.  Even though it is a very intense training course, we have great testimonies of people who are now ministering with their skill to the unreached places like North India.

God gave us the command to go to the end of the earth to preach the gospel, people with ordinary lives who are not able to travel to the ends of the earth to preach the gospel, are equipped to travel to the end of their street to spread the Good news in an extraordinary way.

We understand that we are not able to run this journey without you.  We need you, You financial support provides a way for us to reach the millions of people who have never heard the name of Jesus in India.  Your prayers are much needed as we face daily struggles with spiritual warfare, against bondages, witchcraft and idol worship.
