Information For New and Current Givers

We are grateful to God for everyone who gives financially towards the work of King’s Church. We are convinced God wants his people to be generous and joyful givers; we also want to make it easy for you, so this page explains how you can give.

Regular Giving (Tithing)

We encourage and teach people to give regularly to the local church, with tithing as a guideline (a tithe is a tenth of your income). This is primarily used to pay our staff, run the building and many of our church activities.

You may choose to give your tithe in a variety of ways:

Internet banking

CAF Bank Ltd, 25 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent. ME19 4JQ.
Sortcode: 40-52-40, Account: 00021745

Standing Order

Standing Orders are the best way to give regularly as they incur no charges and are easily tracked for gift aid purposes. You will need to set this up yourself either via internet banking or your local branch.

Cheque or Cash

These can be given directly into the offering during our Sunday services (cheques should be made payable to 'King’s Church Portsmouth')

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, the church can claim the tax you have paid on any gift, however large or small, whether a one-off gift or a regular donation. This costs you nothing but increases the value of all your gifts by a huge 25%.

The easiest way to do this is to make the declaration on the website. As shown in the image, once you're registered with this site and have logged on you can simply click 'Start Gift-Aiding Today' and that's all you need to do.
