Great location and base

Located in a converted church on the South Downs, with hills, woods, lakes and wildlife not far from the doorstep, our base is just minutes away from a wealth of walking routes. Our base is a converted 19th century church with 5 dormitories, sleeping up to 29 (12,6,6,2,1,1). Warm and comfortable with lounge, dining area and modern, well‐equipped kitchen, plus games area with table‐tennis.

Walks

Walks will vary in terms of length (6‐10 miles), difficulty and type, so they shouldn't all be the same. There may also be an optional night walk if you can’t get enough. We’ll also try to take in a few local places of interest. All walks are optional anyway, so you don't have to walk both days - you can always chill out for a day back at the base.

Cost

£80—to include petrol, accommodation and food for the whole 3-night weekend. Allow extra for an optional pub lunch on the Monday. You can pay in instalments as long as you pay the initial deposit of £35 and pay in full by Sunday 29 March 2015.

Times

Will leave approx. 1pm on Friday (extra car leaving at 4pm) and return around 6pm on Monday.

Ages

The weekend is open to all ages. Those with children should be aware of limited private rooms, walk lengths and conditons. Under 18s must be accompanied.

Transport

Minibus(es) plus cars if needed.

Safety

Walk routes have been checked by other walkers. Expect varied terrain and weather, taking
precautions against natural risks (e.g. roads, animals), and wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Whilst the walks should be manageable to most, you should have a reasonable level of fitness to complete all the walks.
